WINNERS of the Durban Business Fair (DBF) 2022 are looking forward to furthering their studies and acquiring new skills using the prizes they received at the Outstanding Prize Handover for DBF 2022 winners. The ceremony was held at the Embassy Building recently.
The Municipality, under its Business Support, Tourism, Markets, and Agri-Business Unit, in collaboration with the Boston City Campus, hosted the Outstanding Prize Handover for the winners. The winners received laptops, stationery vouchers from Waltons, goodie bags from Boston, a scholarship for an online short study programme from the Boston City Campus and Business College (Durban Campus) that covers tuition for a course in business management, marketing, and digital commerce.
As part of their prizes, winners received a complimentary exhibition stand at the 2023 DBF and a one-year membership subscription with the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Vuyiswa Mkhize, founder of Amakhawodwa Primary Co-operatives, which manufactures detergents, said: “I am excited about the Boston scholarship as I will further my studies.”
