The deadline for rates rebate renewal and the inspection and objection period of the 2022 General Valuation Roll has been extended. This is due to the impact of the recent floods. The new deadline for both applications is 16 May 2022.
The extension aims to ensure that property owners have sufficient time to fill out their renewal documents and inspect and object against their property value if necessary.
RATES RENEWAL The rates renewal forms have been posted to qualifying individuals and can also be obtained by emailing ratesrebates@durban.gov.za or can be collected at Sizakala Centres. The documents must be accompanied by certified copies of the account holder’s identity document, Municipal bill, and any other relevant supporting documentation.
