A HIGH PROFILE stakeholder event to unveil the new Malvern Park Mall in Queensburgh was held. Speaking at the event, eThekwini City Manager Musa Mbhele said the launch marked a significant milestone in the redevelopment of existing properties within the Queensburgh area. This heralded a new era of economic growth and community revitalisation.
The comprehensive redevelopment of the Malvern Park properties, which includes the Malvern Park Centre, Queensburgh strip mall, and Malvern Heights apartments, reflects a commendable effort to create a vibrant mixed-use precinct. The precinct offers a diverse array of retail, culinary, entertainment, and leisure options for the community. Mbhele expressed appreciation to the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) and the Government Employee Pension Fund for their investment in the project.
Santosh Lalloo, Executive Head of Properties at the PIC commended the City for surpassing expectations in facilitating land use and building control approvals. He attributed the success to the collaborative efforts of all involved.
