Work to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians on the roads continues as eThekwini Municipality recently painted road markings on Thamela Circle in uMlazi, Ward 86.

IN a continued effort to improve road safety for both motorists and pedestrians, the Municipality recently painted road markings on Thamela Circle in uMlazi, Ward 86. Project Leader Goitsemang Mutsene explained that the markings were unclear, posing a danger to motorists and pedestrians. “The City prioritises service delivery, hence the team is working hard to ensure that this work is performed efficiently.

This is in line with the Municipal mandate to ensure that residents’ safety is prioritised. The road markings had become completely invisible but will now be clearly visible to all road users. Residents are applauding the work that is being done,” said Mutsene. Resident Zakhele Dlamini applauded the good work done by Municipal employees. “They have done excellent work which will assist in the reduction of accidents and improve safety,” said Dlamini.
