South Regional Durban Fair to Empower Local Business Owners
The South Regional Durban Business Fair is taking place at the KwaMnyandu Shopping Centre between 24 and 26 June. It aims to connect Durban business owners with opportunities and will feature a series of empowerment workshops. Attendance to all the seminars is free.
Around100 area-based businesses will exhibit at the fair with their products exposed to the thousands of potential buyers that will be visiting their stands.
Business owners are requested to secure their spots by sending an RSVP text to attend the free business empowerment sessions.
These include a Construction Development Indaba where the focus will be on developing skills and promoting business sustainability for emerging contractors in the construction industry.
A Business Indaba themed ‘Recovery and rebuilding for rural and township economic revitalisation’ will unpack township transformation and outline programmes aimed at driving township economic development.
There will be a three-day Digital Marketing Masterclass to guide businesses on how they can successfully market their businesses online. The Creative Industry Indaba will outline many opportunities onsite while filmmakers will be talking about the pros and cons of their sector.
A two-day Make-Up and Beauty Masterclass, Durban Fashion Fair activation, and Flavours of Durban to offer culinary classes also forms part of the South Regional Business Fair empowerment seminars programme.
The SMME Helpdesk together with associated Municipality’s Departments such as Supply Chain Management Unit and Accounts Payable will be onsite to attend to City supplier queries and unpaid invoices. There will also be a Kiddiepreneur zone for youth.
